Welcome to the Championship Meet at Lexington! The Lexington Family Aquatic Center is located at 1002 N. Monroe St. Entrance through the main doors (south side of the bathhouse) will open at 7:30 am. There will be a $2 fee/person, including swimmers. (Coaches and Stroke Judges will be allowed in with no charge, as long as they get signed up for such, to follow.) Please bring cash to help the process go smoothly. The pool will have workers in lines ready to accept your money and mark your hand so you can come and go as needed. The whole process of getting everyone through the gates will go a lot faster if everyone will try to have exact change, $2 each. The pool will not be accepting checks or large bills.
Coolers are welcome, but they will be checked for glass and alcohol prior to being allowed into the center. No glass, alcohol, smoking, or vaping, and no pets! Parking is available in the Aquatic Center Parking lot as well as the Veteran's Pavilion to the south of the pool. There is no parking on the grass. Canopies can be set up within the fenced in area of the Aquatic Center in designated locations. Please keep all tents, canopies, and lawn chairs behind the white chalk line. Tents may not have any bottom in them. There is also additional room for canopies in Memorial Park located to the east of the pool.
The Zero Depth Pool will not be open at all. The splash pad will be running and available for anybody to get wet and stay comfortable with lifeguards stationed there. Horseplay and craziness will not be allowed and kids will be asked to leave if they are not following the expectations.
There will be food trucks on site from 10:30 am - 5:00 pm. Food vendors will be located outside of the north entrance of the Aquatic Center Parking lot. Food Trucks Available: Lone Wolf BBQ, Chuy’s Tacos, Frutas Jiquilpan (Fruit Truck), Navarette’s Tacos, and Meemaw’s Sweet Treats.
The Aquatic Center also has a concession stand that will be open during the meet (cash only).
Workers needed -This is a League Meet, so we need all teams to chip in with help. Lex is just providing the pool and setting it up the night before. The rest is on the league. We need timers and helpers moving the swimmers in the ready area. We need: Announcer (this is filled), Computer entry (2), someone to run the Video cameras for the Finishes (2) and Stroke Judges. Each team needs to be represented with workers, timers, a Head Timer (This is filled) and more to rotate with helpers. The last thing needed is about 10 strong bodies to put the pool back together when it’s over. We especially need as many as we can to break down the Canapies immediately after the last Event.
Warm-Ups will start at 8:30 am and the meet will begin at 10 am Central Time. The Team Warmup and timing Schedule will be out tomorrow.
